Children Learning Reading
Reading has many benefits including, increased IQ levels, increaded vocabulary development, better communication skills, better writing skills, increased academic performance and higher self-confidence. Every parent would want to give his child all these benefits while enjoying time together that will create many memories and emotional bonds!
Research has shown that 38% of all fourth grade students read below grade-level standards. That's an alarming statistics! To prevent this parents should start teaching their child to read at a young age. This will ensure that the child develops a passion for reading early on in life.
So what are the best ways to start teaching your child to read? The national reading panel conducted a study on 1,925 cases and found that phonemic awareness and phonics (sounding out the words) was a more superior method of reading instruction than is the whole language approach ( memorizing the way a word looks). One program that I feel is extremly effective in reading instruction through phonics is the Children Learning Reading Program.

This program was developed as a system to effectively teach your child to read as early as two years old. The program includes two sets the standard edition and the preium edition.
The standard edition includes: one stage 1 ebook, one stage 2 ebook, lesson stories stage 1, lesson stories stage 2, the most common sight words ebook, children's favorite nursey rhyme, free life-time upgrades, free one-on-one consueling for 12 weeks.
Pros:
Cons:
There is only one disadvantage that I came across with this reading program which would probably apply to any reading program. Always remember that you can teach a child to read as early as you want but the stress is on the word "teach" not "force".
While some children may be ready to learn to read at two others may not be ready to start before five or six. If you force your child to learn to read before he is ready you might create in him feelings of frustation which he will always associate with reading. You might even cause your child to fail or rebel all together.
So, although this program is wonderful to teach your child to read, you have to first make sure that he is ready to learn to read. Check out Is My Child Ready To Read? article to check for reading readiness in your child.

Pros:
- The program is time-efficient and therefore approriate for busy parents. You only need to spend from 5-10 minutes a day, each day with your child.
- You will start to see results in as little as twelve weeks
- The program doesn't use DVD's, TV or computers. It is all about you bonding with your child. So as he develops literacy skills he is also building social and communication skills.
